Monitoring and measuring

Monitoring and measuring is often thought of as challenging because people there is the perception that it will take up additional resources.  However the data you are looking for is normally the data you already have at your fingertips?

Firstly think about what you want to know?  How many people attended your event? Where have they travelled from and how? How much stuff have you bought? hired? Where has it come from? How much waste have you produced? How much energy, water and gas have you used?

 Once you have this information you can benchmark for your future events.
